Our Story

The Fishing Line Defender was created by avid fishermen and FL Lockout Partners, Tom and Jimmy, in Durham, North Carolina. They were frustrated by having to remove fishing line from their trolling motors props all too often.

After some brainstorming they came up with a solution to “Lock Out” fishing line from props. Their first generation, patented, Line Defender is designed to protect many of the motors manufactured by Minn Kota.

They are now in the process of expanding the assortment to protect other brands of motors as well.
